School Education Coordination Committee defers Jan 11 protest

JAMMU: Chairman, School Education Coordination Committee (SECC), Abdul Qayoom Wani has said that due to demise of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed the proposed protest programme of 11th January, 2016 scheduled for all the three regions of the State was deferred.
In a handout issued on Friday, Abdul Qayoom Wani, who is also President Jammu and Kashmir Teacher Forum, said that a meeting shall be held in future regarding the protest programme. Speakers paid tributes to the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
They termed Mufti as a great politician and sagacious statesman. “His death has caused a great void at nation and state level politics,” Wani said and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family. Dr. Manzoor Ahmad, Peer Ghulam Rasool Shah, Manzoor Ahmad Khan, Mia Imtiyaz Ahmad, Dilshad Ahmad, Gh. Rasool Bhat, Mohammad Afzal Bhat, Mohammad Yousuf Zagoo, Shabir Ahmad Panzgami and Nazir Ahmad Rather were present in the meeting.
