KATHUA: During three-day Heritage and Mega Health Mela inaugurated by Dr. Jitendera Singh, MsS(GOI),SBI Basohli and its Kathua branches disseminated Financial Literacy of Banking Services particularly, PMJDY and various Employment Generation Initiatives being undertaken by SBI R-SETI among numerous participants who visited/interacted with SBI Officials present on the occasion.
Rohit Mehta, Chief Manager told the reporters that the initiative was directed by Arvind Priya, DGM SBI Jammu Module and closely supervised by Ajay Gupta, Regional Manager, RBO III. While general public was sensitised about various banking services/schemes in detail, interested entrepreneurs desirous of financial assistance got registered with JKSES,DIC,KVIB etc. and assured them requisite skill development trainings from SBI R-SETI Kathua.
Mehta said that DDC Kathua, Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary is also frequently reviewing the progress under EDP initiatives in the district, as such, deserving candidates from various blocks of the Distt. were referred and enrolled with SBI R-SETI for EDP training shortly being held at Kathua by the officials/faculty members Neha Salaria, Sumit Kumar, Dheeraj Sharma, and Avinash Sharma.
Other SBI officials who interacted with the visitors during the Mela include Sansar Chand(Financial Counsellor) Kashish (BM Basohli),K.J Raina (Manager CR Kathua),Hardev Singh(SBI LIFE), Dev Raj and Parshotam.
