Sat visits Govt Hospital Sarwal, reviews works

JAMMU: BJP MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) visited the Government Hospital Sarwal, hospital and reviewed of the working of the hospital. He also interacted with the patients and their attendants and gave a patient hearing to their problems.

The MLA was apprised about the non-working of the lift at the hospital for the last so many years. When MLA sought a detailed report from Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr ADS Manhas, he pointed out that lift has been installed by Kone  Electricals Company and has remained functional for seven months only and now company is demanding Rs 75,000 for repairs and Rs 1,44,000 for AMC contract.

The MLA issued directions to Medical Superintendent to put up this matter in agenda of Rogi Kalyan Samiti meeting which is going to be held shortly and will be chaired by MLA himself.

He also issued directions for repairs, white washing of old OPD Block of the hospital through PWD division of Government Medical College. He instructed the authorities to make the Gynae ward fully functional. He also instructed to make a proposal for making the Blood Bank functional at the earliest at Government Hospital Sarwal.

BJP Treasurer Pramodh Kapahi, BJP Mandal President Praduman Singh, former Corporators Balwan Singh and Dinesh Gupta, Sanjay Sawhney, Onkar Singh Bose, Amrik Singh, Yash Pal Singh, Ankush and others also accompanied the MLA during his visit.
