BUNJWAH: Congress Party is keen to bring the far flung areas at par with rest of the State in terms of poverty alleviation and other developmental initiatives.
To redress the grievances of the people at their doorsteps and to review the developmental activities, schemes and programmes, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Inderwal constituency Ghulam Mohammad Saroori held a meeting with Tehsil Bunjwah officers and met with various deputations.
Saroori-(MLA Inderwal), who is on a two day tour to the Bunjwah area met with many public deputations and presented their demands which include scarcity of ration, payment of water shed work done, early finalisation of MGNREGA payment, clearing of pending land compensation cases, survey of BPL beneficiaries, posting of teachers and lecturers in schools which are deficient of teaching faculty, functional of PHC Patshalla, sanctioning of pending old age pension cases, Augmentation of existing Water supply schemes and power supply network besides various other demands were also presented to the Saroori on the occasion.
Saroori while listening to the problems of people sought detailed clarifications and action plan from the concerning officers to mitigate the grievances of the people. He asked them to take immediate steps to meet out their demands. He exhorted on better coordination between people and administration for the progress of these remote areas.
He also contacted telephonically to AD CAPD Doda regarding non-distribution of ration in the area from the last three months. AD CAPD said that the ration for the Tehsil Bunjwah has been received by the TSO Thathri but don’t know the reason of delaying in distribution of essential commodities. He assured MLA Inderwal that he will inquire the matter within two days besides hassle free ration will be distributed in the area.
Saroori also reviewed the status of Dunadi-Bunjwah road and other developmental schemes in the Tehsil. Saroori has also directed Tehsildar Bunjwah to complete the documents of compensation of Dunadi-Bunjwah road within 15 days and submit to ACR Kishtwar, so that further steps will be taken in providing the compensation to the landholders of Dunadi-Bunjwah road.
Executive Engineer JKPCC, Tehsildar Bunjwah, officials from PHE, Revenue, R&B besides Congress leaders including Haji Mohd Amin, Mohd Iqbal Keen, Khalid Hussain Sheikh, Ch Issaq, Ch Misroo, Hasham Din, Amjad Hussain, Diya Chand, Vinod, Zakir Keen, Abdul Kabir, Sarpanchs, panchs, local Congress leaders, Youth Congress members and people in large were present on the occasion.
