SAMBA: The district administration Samba on Thursday held camps in flood hit villages and distributed relief in the shape of ration, fodder for livestock, clothing etc among the affected families.
The relief distribution camps were organised at Kamore, Sumb, Goran and the relief was distributed to the affected families by Deputy Commissioner, Mubarak Singh.
Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Swami Jain Saiva Kendra –Mumbai, Bardhman Sanskar Dhaam, Shri Atmanandh Jain Sabha (Regd.) – Patel Chowk (Fattu Chowgan) –Jammu, Shri Sahasana Parshavnath Public Charitable Trust-Surat, Akhil Bhartiya Sanskriti Rakshak Dal -Ahmedabad, Surat, Joint Group of Chopati –Mumbai have also come forward to extend help to the flood hit in the shape family packs containing rice, Dal, sugar, edible oil and fodder for the livestock.
They distributed relief in affected villages viz Kamore, Kamore Camp, Barota, Nanga, Rangoor, Sumb, Goran, where the agriculture land has been completely devastated and crops fully damaged.
Besides this, free ration for six months announced by the Govt. is also being distributed to the affected families.
It was also informed that Department of Animal Husbandry, Samba has already distributed 310 Qtls. of Dry fodder in the flood affected villages.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDMs, Tehsildars have also been asked to supervise the distribution of relief to maintain transparency.
