Sainik School Nagrota cadets excel in CBSE class XII results

NAGROTA: The class XII cadets of 2016 passed out batch broke all previous records in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination held by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the month of March, the results of which were declared for all regions yesterday.
Principal Col Kapil Dev Koushal congratulated all the cadets and the entire team of staff for achieving this tremendous feat and mentioned that hard work and dedication by one and all was the key factor for the success of the cadets.
Besides 100 per cent pass, the cadets set new records in the number of distinctions achieved in individual subjects as well. Cadet Aaqib Khursheed Lone stood overall first with 95.8 per cent which is the highest score ever by a Class XII cadet in the history of the school and was followed by Cadet Shubham Sharma who notched up 94.2 per cent.
The number of subject wise distinctions are- English: 29, Maths:17, Physics: 18, Chemistry: 31 and Biology: 33. Cadet Kunal Gautam produced the best ever score of 97 in English. Cadets Aaqib, Shubham, Vishal Thapa and Sandeep Chahal topped in Maths with 95, Cadets Aaqib and Shubham stood first in Physics and Biology with identical scores of 95 and 99 in each subject. Another new record set this year was the highest subject average of 87.89 per cent in Biology.
Ten cadets from the same batch of Class XII have already cleared Services Selection Board interview for entry in to the National Defence Academy.
