Saif, 44, who looked dapper in a navy blue velvet suit, said he decided to have the premiere in Delhi because of his family’s connection with the city.
“I am very excited. We are in Delhi… the weather is amazing. I could’t have asked for a better premiere,” said Saif, who has also produced the romantic comedy.
Govinda got the loudest cheers from the fans who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the stars.
“It’s been 28 years that I have been working in the industry and I am humbled to be still getting so much love from my fans,” he said.
The film’s leading lady Ileana, 27, was accompanied by her Australian boyfriend Andrew Kneebone.
Dressed in a copper red gown with a thigh high slit, she beamed as she posed for shutterbugs.
Saif’s wife Kareena Kapoor, who is in the capital, was conspicuous by her absence.
Producer Dinesh Vijan and director duo Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru were also present at the event.
‘Happy Ending’ will hit theatres this Friday.
Recently a special screening of the film was held in Mumbai and was attended by the star cast along with several B-town celebrities like Nargis Fakhri, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu among others.
