Sagar slams PDP for unleashing reign of terror in Kashmir

STATE TIMES NEWS
SRINAGAR: Reminding Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of her tall claim of seeking votes on the basis of report card of the PDP-BJP Government in the past two years, National Conference General Secretary Ali Mohammed Sagar on Sunday said that but for miseries and devastation nothing is discernible on ground.
“As far as people are concerned, they only know how the innocent youth were killed, maimed and blinded besides atrocities inflicted upon them, irrespective of age and gender”, the General Secretary said while addressing workers at Eidgah, Zadibal, Sonawar, Batamaloo and Amirakadal.
Sagar said that unprecedented spree of arrests has been unleashed at large scale and over 15,000 innocent people have been imprisoned within and outside the State to suppress their voice against tyranny. The nightmarish era of indiscriminate arrests is continuing and instead of listening to the reason, the governmental agencies are brutally muzzling the voice of people.
“In desperation, the government is slapping PSA whosoever comes under their scanner”, he said, adding that the atrocities are going to rebound. He said the polarising government is repeating Gujarat and UP experiment in Kashmir and targeting Muslims in a big way.
The General Secretary said that the government is hilariously taking credit of inaugurating the projects undertaken and completed during the tenure of Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister.
He said the PDP-BJP combine has pushed development to back burner and utility services are continuing to be in shambles.
