STATE TIMES NEWS

NEW DELHI/ CHANDIGARH: On the occasion of Veer Baal Diwas, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh paid his respects at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib and paid tribute to the unparalleled sacrifice of the Sahibzadas.

Chugh said the courage and martyrdom of the Sahibzadas stand as a golden chapter in Indian history. Their sacrifice for the protection of the nation and religion is an eternal source of inspiration for the world, he added.
Chugh said that more than 16,000 programmes are being organized across the country today by the BJP in every Mandal of the party to commemorate Veer Baal Diwas.
“Under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this day is being observed in every corner of the country, from Kerala to Kanyakumari, Guwahati to Kashmir. These programmes serve not only to honor the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas but also to guide the future generations of the nation”, Chugh said.
He said, “By initiating Veer Baal Diwas, Prime Minister Modi has ensured that the valor and heroism of the Sahibzadas inspire generations to come. Today, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, brave children are being honored as part of Veer Baal Diwas celebrations, which is a matter of immense pride. Later, the Prime Minister will celebrate this occasion with thousands of children from across the country at Bharat Mandapam.”
Chugh highlighted that the Sahibzadas, through their supreme sacrifice, conveyed a timeless message to the world-that one must stand firm in the defense of faith and culture, even at the cost of life. They rejected the lure of power, greed, and forced conversions, choosing martyrdom instead. Their sacrifice teaches us to remain steadfast in the protection of our nation and religion, he added.
He said that the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas is a jewel in the crown of Indian culture. Guru Gobind Singh Ji, along with his four sons, sacrificed everything for the protection of dharma and the nation. This heroic chapter is not only Punjab’s legacy but a treasure of India’s heritage. The Sahibzadas’ martyrdom reminds us of the importance of loyalty, dedication, and courage in safeguarding our faith and country, he said. Chugh emphasized that the message of Veer Baal Diwas will inspire millions of children across the nation to follow in the footsteps of the Sahibzadas. It will teach them the values of dedication and sacrifice for the nation and instill a deep sense of commitment to religion and country in their hearts, he added.
