Sachin, Prakash win Maruti Suzuki Mughal Rally

JAMMU: Sachin Singh and M Prakash driving Swift emerged as champions, as the exhilarating journey of approximately 800kms in the country’s most picturesque location concluded in Jammu on Monday.
Present at the prize distribution ceremony were Secretary Tourism, Farook A Shah, Sushma Chandra, Madhurendra Malu, Regional Manager, Punjab and J and K, Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
The Maruti Suzuki Mughal Rally, apart of the Maruti Suzuki FMSCI National Super League TSD Rally Championship saw Ganesh Moorthy and his co-driver M Mustafa in the second spot driving their S Cross followed by Subir Roy and his navigator Nirav Mehta who picked the third slot driving their Swift.
Khyati Modi, the only female rallyist in the team from Mumbai along with her navigator, Arvind Balan from Bikaner, grabbed third position in the Non-Championship (Expert) category.
Raghu Raj Thappa and Harpreet Singh from the celebrated Jammu’s local team, The Backyard Customs stood at the first rank in the Denizen (Expert) category.
The winners were awarded with trophies by Madhurendra Malu.
Congratulating the winners, Madhurendra Malu said, “Our heartiest congratulations to participants for their commendable performance!
The active involvement in this event is a clear reflection of the passion of the participants towards motorsports. It is motivating for us too.” Enthralled with his win, Sachin Singh said “It was wonderful to be rallying in such a beautiful and quaint location. We are glad to have overcome each round successfully and look forward to the upcoming motorsport challenges.”
