BASOHLI: A branch of the long awaited Jammu and Kashmir State Agriculture and Rural Development Bank was opened in Basohli town on Tuesday amidst the thunderous clapping by the congregation present on the occasion.
The branch of the bank was formally inaugurated in the presence of the local public and Mohammad Aslam Bhat MD/CEO of the bank, Mohammad Ilyas Khawaja GM, Ravinder Parihar Manager Estates, Saurab Branch Manager Billawer and Subhash Kumar Sharma Branch Manager Basohli.
The new branch of the bank was inaugurated by social activist Shiv Kumar Padha amidst the crowd of the peasants, farmers and the respected citizens of the town.
Mohammad Ilyas Khawaja GM of the Bank apprised the audience present on the occasion about the need and various beneficial features of the bank. He also emphasised upon the utility of the bank exclusively for the farmers, peasants and the tillers because according to him the Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture and Rural Development Bank has always stood by the farmers in the event of financial assistance to purchase seeds and implements.
