Forex dealers said besides the dollar’s gain against other currencies in the global markets, increased demand for the American unit from importers weighed on the rupee but a better opening in domestic equity markets, capped the fall.
The Indian rupee had eased by three paise to end at 61.91 against the Greenback in yesterday’s trade.
Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex rallied by 278.41 points, or 0.98 per cent, to 28,721.12 in early trade today.
