RSS wants stern action against those doing Pak bidding

Jammu: The society will not tolerate any compromise with the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the country, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Sunday and demanded stern action against those advocating separatism and doing Pakistan’s bidding.
“The society will not tolerate any compromise with the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the country. It is need of the hour to take stern action as per law against those who advocate separatism and work at the behest of their masters sitting across the border, Bhagwat told RSS workers here.
Bhagwat said people of Jammu and Kashmir have faced hardship to safeguard the integrity of the country.
“You have faced those hardships for the country, the situation has to be resolved. If the situation has not been resolved for so long, then it can have two reasons. Either we have no courage to resolve the situation or there is some shortfall in our efforts to resolve the problem,” he said.
The RSS chief said, in a democracy, society is the most powerful entity which has the power to elect its representatives.
“Whatever the society wants the government has to work that way. This is the rule in democracy,” he said, adding in India the rule of the law is supreme and everyone has to follow it.
“It is a huge country with so many states but it is still one country. The government will work for the emotional unity of the country which was the basis on which Constitution was written. The sovereignty, unity and integrity of the nation are paramount, he said.
Bhagwat said though the country adopted a federal form of government only a few decades ago, it has been one nation for ages.
“In this country we don t needs laws for patriotism, we have accepted federal structure of governance, but from time immemorial we are one country , he said.
Bhagwat said the need of the hour was to follow the laws and strengthen the emotional unity of the country and not divide it.
“We means the people of this country, irrespective of what religion they follow and what God they worship and what God they don t. It is the people of the country and the laws need to be followed to strengthen the country so separatism cannot rear its head,” he said.
He said that scientists have proved that ancestors of today’s inhabitants of the Indian sub-continent who lived around 40,000 years ago were the same.
“It is proven that the people who live in this part of the world have similar ancestors and they all are Hindus.
Being Hindu does not mean which God you worship or which you don t. It is the identity, our culture and our heritage that we have carried along for centuries,” he said.
Bhagwat said for the past 90 years RSS has been working to bring discipline in the lives of the people of this nation, so they can stand together and face any situation.
“Our history for the past 1000 years is witness to the attacks from outsiders who came and looted us and then someone amongst us united us and we fought against that invader. The invader either ran away after looting or was absorbed in our society.
“For the past 90 years RSS has been working to make people disciplined so that they can face any such aggression, he said.
Referring to threat posed to unity and integrity of the nation, he said that the people in J and K are fully aware of these problems created by the forces inimical to national cause as they have been fighting it for years together.
“The long time disturbances were faced by the people of the State but the people deserve all appreciation that despite all odds they faced it boldly and did not allow the evil designs of such forces to succeed,” he said.
Dr Bhagwat added a strong Samaj can solve all the problems being faced by the nation and to lay the foundation of a strong Samaj Dr Hedgewar had laid the foundation of RSS on the day of Vijay Dashmi in 1925.
“Law, constitution and administration are helpful in this regard but this all is not enough and Samaj has to take basic responsibility of transformation,” he said adding that the government can’t ignore the opinion of a conscious Samaj and it can make the government as it likes. He said Samaj can play a great role in this regard.
He, while warning those forces who are inimical to national unity and integrity, said this country is not merely a piece of land but it is the motherland of millions and millions of Indians (Bharatwasi) and its unity and integrity is of paramount importance.
He said Sangh is wedded to imbibing such character among the people who will live and die for nation and only then India will emerge as Vishav Guru.
This task is tough but this is a selfless service and only through Shakhas of Sangh foundation of such individuals is made.
Dr Bhagwat said. “We have to build the Samaj to face every problem. India is a country of great human values who have one culture and this feeling towards the motherland ties us all together.”
“Despite different ways of worship we are traditionally believers of Hindu Sanskriti,” he added.
He said those who divide the Samaj should be dealt seriously so for achieving this goal everyone has to become Swayamsevak and play his role in building Samaj.
Those present on dais were, Uttar Kshetra Sangchalak (Zonal) Dr Bajrang Lal Gupta, Prant Sangchalak and Brig (retd) Suchet Singh.
