Kishtwar: Unidentified persons looted over Rs 40 lakh from a Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday from J&K Bank branch at Sarthal in Kishtwar district. The loot included new currency notes of Rs 20 lakhs, police said.
According to police the bank is located inside a shop at Agral village of Sarthal, about 30 KM from Kishtwar and the cash was kept inside the chest which miscreants took away after they broke open the shutter of the shop.
Police have registered a case and started investigations.
