JAMMU: The Border Security Force (BSF) deployed on Indo Pak International Border recovered Rs 3,99,000 in fake currency in R S Pura sector on Sunday evening.
“Suspecting some movement, the troops of Border Outpost Kharkola carried out searches close to International Border and found two packets wrapped with yellow coloured tape and a packet of cigarette of Morvin company,” said BSF spokesman.
He said while unwrapping the packets, 399 notes of fake Indian currency in the denomination of Rs. 1,000 were recovered.
The face value of the seized currency was Rs 3,99,000 while an FIR has been lodged in the R S Pura Police Station and investigation has been set in motion.
