RAMBAN: According to DC Ramban Farooq Shah Bukhari, Rs. 3,19,85,600 have so far been released and disbursed by the district administration among the flood sufferers in the district. This amount has covered the damages of life, injuries, residential houses, cattle-sheds, bovines, goats, sheep and horses.
As per the official statement, an amount of Rs 17,35,600 has been disbursed for the losses/ damages covering one life, one injured, six Pucca houses, one hundred and six Kucha houses besides six cattle sheds.
In addition to this, Rs 2.50 lakh has been utilised for the convenience of the stranded passengers, vehicles and for temporary camps arranged for the passengers who traversed through the district during and after the flood days. Similarly, Rs 3 crore have been released for the restoration of damaged infrastructure in the district.
The DC in a meeting with the revenue officers has passed strict instructions for completion of the damage/loss cases on war footing keeping in view all technicalities so that relief can reach to the deserved in fair way that too in shortest possible time.
