JAMMU: A team of Quality Control Enforcement Wing, Handicrafts Department conducted surprised inspections of handicrafts dealers at Reasi, District including Katra and Nav-Devia and found them indulging in malpractice in the name of Kashmir handicrafts, without registration, fake labeling, without sign board or without bill book.
On the basis of irregularities of Rs. 27,000 as fine was imposed upon the dealers of Katra and Nav-Devia. The official team included Joginder Mangol (QCI), Pardeep Kumar Chowdhary (Tech Asstt) and Rahul Sharma (Tech Asstt). The officials asked the dealers to get registered with Directorate of Handicrafts Quality Control Wing and work under the provision of Tourist Trade Act, 1978/82.
