JAMMU: Rotary Club Jammu Tawi and 92.7 BIG FM is organising ‘Big Street’ in Apsara Road Jammu on 6th March from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Talking to reporters, Ashok Gupta, President Rotary Club Jammu Tawi, said that the concept of ‘Big Street’ is to give pollution free atmosphere to City of Temples.
“The roads are for pedestrians and in the present lifestyle we have forgotten to walk altogether,” he said adding that lack of walking or cycling and total dependence on automobiles has adversely impacted on health of society in addition to diseases caused by pollution due to vehicular traffic.
BIG FM RJs will host the event in which various activities like Yoga, zumba dance, tug of war, cycling, street football, skating, Selfie corner, singing, dancing, food stalls and street play by Rangyug etc will be the part, he informed.
“Such event is going to be a regular activity for the people of Jammu in coming weeks also,” he said.
The project is being organised by Dr Dushyant Choudhary, Vikrant Sharma, Programming Head 92.7 BIG FM, Harish Gulati, P.S Jaggi, B.R Chandan, Jatinder Gandhok, Sunil Jain, Jaswant Rai, Subash Gandhotra and Pradeep Jain.
