Rotarians contribute towards relief fund


RAJOURI: Rotary Club Rajouri in its mega activity arranged two truckloads of relief material for flood/rain affected people of Rajouri under leadership of President Rtn Sanjay Kumar Puri and co-ordinator for Relief Rtn K.K Langer.
District Governor 3070 Rtn Gurgeet Shekhon played a key role in arranging relief for district Rajouri. In a small function held at DC office complex the material was handed over to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Jitendra Kumar Singh for effective distribution in association with Rotary Club Rajouri.
Relief material worth Rs 35 lakhs consisted of 100 Shelter kits, 500 high quality Tarpals and medicines. Each shelter kit consists of tent, stove, kitchen utensils, blankets, sleeping bag, medicines, buckets etc.
Speaking on the occasion DC Rajouri Jatindra Kr Singh lauded the role of Rotary Club Rajouri for arranging relief material for affected people in short time. President Rotary Club Rajouri Sanjay Puri assured that in future more relief from Rorary International will be provided to the district Rajouri in particular and Jammu province in general.
Members of Rotary club Rajouri Rtn Ashish Langer, Rtn Rakesh Gupta, Rtn Sadiq Khan, Rtn Amardeep Singh, Rtn Tazeem Dar, Rtn Dr Yash Karsyal, Rtn Dr Shalinder Sharma, Rtn Prabinder Sharma, Rtn Rohit Gupta, Rtn Shiv Gupta and Rtn Umesh Sharma were present on the occasion. From district administration Addl Deputy Commissioner Mohd Salim, CEO Rajouri Dev Authority Sh Mushir Mirza, AC(Defence) Joginder Paul besides other revenue officers were present.
