JAMMU: State unit of Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party (RKSP) has decided to field at least 20 candidates in the recently announced Assembly elections across the State.
These will include State President of the Party, Tanveer Hussain Babzada who has been given ticket from Inderwal Assembly segment; Ghani Shayam from Jammu West and Puran Chand Bhagat from Channi.
Addressing the names of candidates during a press conference on Sunday, National President of the Party, Gopal Rai said that party accords priority to check militancy in this terrorism infested State and will work for bringing an end to unemployment in J and K.
He added, “We want to build a new India, which would be free from crime, terrorism, injustice and corruption; an India where there is respect for creation of wealth; where private enterprise is promoted rather than restricted and where the government is a facilitator of fair business, rather than being an inefficient and corrupt agency for obstructing the growth.”
Gopal added that the party is committed to wipe out militancy from the State and give its citizens an atmosphere free from fear of death and threats from the militants.
Stating that the government in the State has failed to come up with adequate help for the victims of the recent floods in the Valley and parts of Jammu province, Tanveer said that RKSP is committed to take steps towards rehabilitation of the affected people.
Babzada also highlighted the problems facing the people in far fang areas of Inderwal constituency Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban Distts. He demanded special package for government jobs to the youth from these areas.
He also complained of poor condition of roads and inadequate transports services in the hilly areas, resulting into frequent accidents, leading to loss of valuable human lives.
National President of the Youth Wing of RKSP, Ganesh Kumar Chouhan and National Vice President Guddu Pandit, Swami Madananand Maharaj also addressed the media persons. Others present on the occasion were Chief Observer S Surjeet Singh Sitara, Rajesh Manchanda Advisor and Kamal Mangotra District President.
