RKJ, JKAACL felicitate Ravinder Jamwal in Jharokha-20

JAMMU: J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Radio Kashmir, Jammu on Tuesday felicitated Ravinder Jamwal, a prominent sculptor who has established himself internationally in its series of programmes entitled Jharokha organised monthly by the RKJ and JKAACL in the K.L Saigal Hall, Jammu.
N.D Jamwal, eminent sculptor, painter, Dogri poet, writer and intellectual presided while Agnishekhar, a renowned Hindi Writer was the Chief Guest. S.K Malhotra, Programme Head, Radio Kashmir, Jammu and Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAACL were also in the presidium.
While delivering his presidential address, N.D Jamwal congratulated Ravinder Jamwal for being felicitated here in Jharokha and declared him an artist of international fame.
While appreciating the contribution of Ravinder Jamwal, Agnishekhar said that his popularity can be assessed witnessing the statues of great heroes and personalities of Dogra region like General Bikram Singh, Maharaja Gulab Singh, Mahatma Gandhi etc.
While presenting vote of thanks, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn said that today in the 20th episode of Jharokha, Ravinder Jamwal, the visual artist is being felicitated and this is for the first time that a dignitary from the field of art has been honoured.
S.K Malhotra, Programme Head, Radio Kashmir, Jammu delivered welcome address and the proceedings of the programme were conducted by Anjana Badyal.
Ravinder Jamwal also shared his experience followed by a healthy intrection.
Among others those present include Prof. Nirmal Vinod, K.K Shaker, Jang S. Berman, Raj Kumar Bharoupia, Vinod Sharma, Balwinder Singh, P.R Mangotra, Swami Anter Neerav, Sudhir Mahajan, Randhir Kumar, Amarjit Singh, Chander Prakash, Kunwar Shakti Singh and Harish Kaila.
