Riyansh selected in J&K team for national rolling championship at Chennai

JAMMU: With his stellar performance, Riyansh Mahajan has been selected for the National Roller Skating Competition (Quads) which will be held in Chennai in the month of December.
He will represent Jammu and Kashmir in the national competition in 5 to 7 years age group. Jammu and Kashmir Roller skating Association organised competitions for different age groups of players belonging to various districts of the Union Territory from Monday to Friday (13 to 17 Nov) at the MA Stadium in Jammu.
A total of three rink races were held for participants in the age group of 5 to 7 years old, in which Riyansh Mahajan performed better and won medals in all three categories. Top three players are selected for national roller skating championship.
The 61st National Rolling Skating Championship is scheduled to be held in Chennai from December 15 to December 25 where teams from all the states and Union Territories of the country will participate.
Earlier, a few days ago, Riyansh had won a gold medal and a silver medal in the District Level Roller Skating Competition held in Jammu. Riyansh Mahajan is student of Delhi Public School, Jammu. He is skating under the supervision of coach Suresh Kumar.
