Rightist propaganda a dangerous tendency: Sagar

SRINAGAR: Coming down heavenly on the recent statements of a rightist political party, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Mohammad Sagar on Wednesday said that they are trying to create an atmosphere which is quite contrary to the secular fabric of the country and is a dangerous tendency, which can lead to disastrous effects.
The minister was addressing huge public gatherings at Khansahib in district Budgam, Qamarwari and Baghat areas of Srinagar District.
The minister said that the propaganda launched by a rightist party is dangerous to the secular ethos of the country, which is known for its principles of tolerance and mutual co-existence.
“It is a sorry state of affairs that they have resorted to minority bashing, which is a dangerous tendency and should be condemned by one and all as it will have disastrous effects on the overall scenario in the country”.
Asking the people not to pay heed to the divisive and misleading propaganda undertaken by a political party known for its self propagating ideals, the minister said that “the party which has been responsible for subjecting the people to various miseries by enacting certain draconian laws is now trying to mislead the people by spreading lies and floating obnoxious ideas but they will not succeed in their political mechanisations”.
