Dear Editor,
Sweden recycles 99 per cent of its trash. Its waste management system has reached such a pinnacle that it now imports garbage from the UK, Italy, Norway and Ireland. The country has set up 32 waste-to-energy plants so far. Waste for them is now a business. Why can’t India do the same? It produces a lot of waste and can convert land into landfills. Quick action is needed.
