ReTs hail Naeem for initiating issue of pending salary

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum on Sunday hailed Education Minister Naeem Akhtar for discussing the salary issue of teaching community particularly Rehbar-e-Taleem community with union HRD minister Samriti Irani.

A meeting of JK ReT Teachers Forum was held under the chairmanship of its senior Vice Chairman Bhupinder Singh which was also attended by district presidents and executive members.

Singh said that teaching community is suffering very badly and is working without salary for the last 6 to 12 months due to the indifferent attitude of previous state government. He said that after repeated requests and several meetings with Education Minister Naeem Akhtar and MOS Priya Sethi now the Education Minister has discussed the matter with Union HRD Minister Samriti Irani in Delhi. “We are hope that salary of ReTs will be released soon”, he anticipated.

He also appealed to Education Minister for regularising the female ReTs working in KGBV schools falling under criteria of five years satisfactory service.

The meeting was also attended by Arvid Sharma, Rashpaul Sharma, Anil Chowdhury, Mushtaq Malik, Kuldeep Singh, Sudesh Kumar, Parshotam Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Khlill Khan, Sanjeev Sharma, Surinder Singh, Rinku Sharma and Sudesh Chowdhary.
