The Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Talim Teachers Forum has threatened to launch stir if the pending salary of regularized ReTs under SSA and KGBV is not released before Diwali.Decision in this regard was taken during district level meetings of the Forum, held under the chairmanship of concerned district presidents.
This was informed by Bhupinder Singh, senior vice chairman of J&K Ret Teachers Forum while addressing a press conference at Udhampur.“We have been running from pillar to post for salary but the State Government and Central Government are passing the buck to each other over not releasing their due share,” he said and asked the Chief Minister not to play with the sentiments of teachers, who are without salary for months.ReT meeting in Jammu was chaired by Ninu Latta, Udhampur by Rajesh Paul Singh, Samba by Rishpaul Sharma, Kathuaby Meena Sharma, Reasi by Chain Singh, Rajouri by Aftab Tantray, Poonch by Khalill Khan, Ramban by Farooq Runyal, Kishtwar by Muddsair Wani and Doda by Mudsssair Bhat.Similar meetings were also held in Kashmir division where all the district presidents strongly recommended for State level protest for pending salaries.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum and Jammu Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum have also extended their support to the demand for immediate release of pending salary of regularized ReTs under SSA and RMSA.An emergency meeting of the JKTF centralbody was held under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria which urged the Chief Minister to intervene into the matter and direct the concerned authorities to issue necessary order for immediate release of salary of the employees working under SSA and RMSA schemes.
A meeting of General Line Teachers Forumwas also held under the chairmanship of Ravinder Kumar and Parshotam Singh whoalleged that the State Government has totally failed to implement the SSA and RMSA schemes according to the guidelines specified by the Central Government.
