ReT teachers to protest on Jan 3

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: To mount pressure on State Government for releasing salary under SSA, the ReT Teachers’ Forum on Sunday decided to hold daylong protest at Press Club Jammu on 3rd January 2015.
The decision was taken during a meeting held under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma, State Vice President Younis Rahi and Provincial President Rajesh Singh Jamwal, in which all the District presidents besides State’s Apex Body Members of the forum were also present.
Vinod Sharma expressed resentment against the government for not releasing SSA salary for the last several months. He said that they have highlighted the matter before the government so many times but nothing has been done to streamline the SSA salary. He said that Regularized ReT Teachers under SSA are without salary for the last 3 to 9 months in all the Districts of the State and are on the verge of starvation.
Rajesh Jamwal said that they are left with no other option than to come on roads as the SSA salary is pending for several months. He said that state Finance Department has only released 50 per cent of the funds released by Central Government under Centre’s share which is a matter of concern and the department is playing with the families of thousands of ReT Teachers.
Others who were present on the occasion included Lekh Raj Parihar, Sukhdev Singh, Sukesh Khajuria, Gulzar, Subash Chander, Kewal Kumar, Jyoti Parkash, Ravinder Singh, Joginder Kumar, Manzoor Malik, Rajinder Singh, Ravi Kumar, Chander Kant, Vijay Kumar, Sohan Kumar, Parshotam Kumar and Dilip Kumar.
