ReT Teachers Forum meets Priya; submits memorandum

JAMMU: In pursuance of redressal of Rehbar-e-Taleem issues, the Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar e Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) met Minister of State, Education, Priya Sethi and sought her personal intervention in redressal of SSA salaries on priority.
A delegation of JKReTTF led by its Chairman Farooq Ahmad Tantray met Priya Sethi and discussed issues being confronted by the ReT teaching community. The forum submitted memorandum of demands seeking release of pending SSA salaries, regularisation of DMDH (outside universities), revoking screening test order, increase in ReT honorarium, transfers etc.
Tantray sought personal intervention of Sethi in addressing the salary issue which is traumatising the teachers and their families.
Sethi assured the delegation that she will take up the matter with the Union Govt and deliberate with MHRD and Union Finance Department to end the financial predicament soon.
The delegation comprised of senior trade union leader Malik Younis Rahi, Publicity Secretary, Assadulla Wani, District President Kulgam Sheikh Intikhab, District President Poonch, Hammid Nabbaz, senior leaders Javed Chohan and Babar Naik.
