STATE TIMES NEWS
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar- e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) strongly condemned the callous attitude of State and Central Government towards thousands of teachers working under SSA in the State.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Chairman of the Forum, Farooq Ahmed Tantary said that the government’s decision to release only one month pay out of pending more than six months is a cruel joke with the more than sixty thousand SSA teachers of the State. Tantray criticised the confusing and misleading statements of State’s Education Minister who has failed to address the salary woes of thousands of SSA teachers. He lambasted the authorities’ decision to release just one month salary out of six pending months and termed it a cruel joke with the nation builders. JKReTTF Chairman warned of a State wide protest against the present dispensation in case the salary issues were not redressed in near future and a comprehensive streamlining of this grave issue is not done. Expressing concern over the transfer policy for regularised Rehabar-e-Taleem teachers, Tantray said that it is the clear cut decision of the previous cabinet and Court thats regularized Rehbar-e-Taleem teacher be treated as General Line Teacher but present regime of State Government are not implementing it which is a big injustice for them.
