JAMMU: All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum on Sunday sought regularization, release of salary under SSA, transfer policy, etc during its monthly meeting held here at Exhibition Ground under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma. The meeting was attended by the executive members of the Forum including district Presidents.
Vinod urged the Education Minister and Finance Minister to make provision for the release of several months’ salary to SSA teachers and masters whose families are on verge of starvation. “Due to delay in regularisation there is huge pendency in the form of pay arrears, DA arrears, etc and the SSA teachers are suffering badly”, he said.
He demanded early disbursal of pending salaries claiming that banks have been charging compound interests on the salary loans, housing loans, etc and have even seized the accounts of the guarantors.
He appealed the government to make provision for the clearance of pending 4 to 6 months SSA salary and arrears of these teachers so that their families should not suffer anymore.
He also demanded the regularisation of ReTs whose files are lying in Directorate of School Education who have obtained degrees from UGC recognised Universities, as in many of such cases the department has received the verifications from such universities. He also demanded the transfer policy in favour regularised ReT teachers as per High Court judgment and said that they are hopeful that new Education Minister will consider the issues of ReTs sympathetically and bring them out of sufferings.
Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Rajesh Jamwal, Subash Chander, Ravinder Manhas, Rajinder Singh, Roshan Lal, Surinder Singh, M Choudhary, Rakesh Kumar and Rajesh Sharma also spoke in the
meeting.
