UDHAMPUR: A monthly meeting of All J and K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held on Sunday at Udhampur under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar . The meeting was attended by the executive members of the forum and zonal presidents .
While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma urged the Education Minister and Finance Minister to make provision for the releases of many months salary of SSA teachers and masters whose families are on verge of starvation as they are unable to provide basic facilities to their families including proper food and clothing to their children and medicines to their ailing parents which is a matter of great concern.
Due to untimely (late) regularisation , there is also a huge pendency in the form of pay arrears, DA arrears etc and the SSA teachers are suffering badly, he said. He appealed to the government to make provisions for the clearance of pending four to six months SSA salary and pay arrears of these teachers so that the families of these teachers may not suffer any more . He also demanded regularisation of ReTs whose files are lying in Directorate of School Education and have obtained degrees from UGC recognised universities , as in many of such cases the department has received the verifications from such universities. He also demanded the transfer policy in favour of regularised ReT teachers as per High Court judgement and said that they are hopeful that the new Education Minister will consider the issues of ReTs sympathetically and bring them out of suffering. Meanwhile ReT Teachers Forum has appealed the Education Minister to revoke the order No 66 which is biased and questions the degrees awarded through distance mode so that teaching community may not suffer any more. Others who also spoke on the occasion were Bhupinder Singh, Sukhdev Singh Sumbria , Sham Sharma , Sukesh Khajuria , Ashok Seth , Ravinder Rathore , Sushil Singh , Vipin Sharma , Kuldip Singh , Anil Sharma, Rekha Thakur , Som Raj , Jai Parkash , Ajit Singh , Romesh Kumar , Pardeep Kumar , Mohd Asif and Parshant Sharma.
