ReT deputation meets MoS PMO

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: A deputation of All J and K ReT Teachers’ Forum led by State Chief Coordinator, Sukhdev Singh Sumbria called on MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh at his official residence at North Block New Delhi and discussed the issue of salaries of teachers working under SSA in J and K which has become a chronic problem. The deputation also submitted a charter of demands.
While interacting with Dr Jitendra, Sumbria apprised him that thousands of SSA teachers in J and K are without salary for the last four to six months and the family members of these teachers are suffering badly and they are unable to celebrate the sacred festivals like Eid, Diwali etc. He appealed to the MoS PMO for streamlining the SSA salary in J and K by getting the funds released from MHRD so that teachers of the State may not suffer any more.
Singh listened to the deputation quite patiently and assured to take up the matter with MHRD for early release of funds.
