Resolve issues of agitating daily-wagers, lawyers: JKPCC

JAMMU: Criticising the UT administration for its failure to resolve genuine issues of agitating daily wagers of PHE besides the lawyers in Jammu, Congress on Tuesday asked the government to take positive steps to resolve the issues.
Taking strong exception to the indifferent attitude of the government towards the most genuine issues of daily wagers of Jal Shakti Department besides all such workers in different departments, JKPCC Senior Leader and former MLC, Ravinder Sharma described it total failure of the government to respond to the genuine issues of agitating sections.He questioned the approach of the authorities to the poor workers who are suffering s lot as they find it impossible to survive and feed their families on meagre and irregular wages. They are waiting for justice for long time and agitating for their rights of regularisation, he said adding that the general public too is suffering due to lack of regular water supply due to ongoing agitation of Jal Shakti Department workers. Referring to the lawyers stir, Ravinder said that all their demands are genuine and in the larger interest of general public.
The government must immediately concede their genuine demands without further delay.
