DODA: To finalise the arrangements for celebration of Republic Day-2016, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohd Hanief Malik on Tuesday convened a meeting of officers. It was decided in the meeting that the venue of the function will be the Sports Stadium Doda where the VIP will unfurl National Flag and will take salute at the march past from the contingents of J and K Police, IRP5th Bn, CRPF 76 Bn, NCC, FPF and school children
The ADC asked Chief Education Officer Doda and District Youth Services, District Information Officer and Sports Officer to put in place all arrangements well in time related to their respective departments. The Executive Engineer PHE Doda will ensure the supply of drinking water at the venue during rehearsal and during the national festival celebration. General supervision and arrangements, installation of public address system, security, sitting arrangement, cultural programme by the students, watch and ward, drinking water supply, uninterrupted power supply, maintenance of law and order, sanitation of town and the venue among other arrangements were also discussed in the meeting.
