JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) sought replacement of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Bishnah for indulging in alleged corruption.
Talking to reporters here on Monday, State President JKMEF Sushil Sudan said that mal-administration of Dr. Des Raj Dogra, BMO Bishnah which has time and again been brought to the notice of higher authorities but till date no action has been taken so far with the result he has started corrupt indulging in practices through his blue eyed boys.
“Three days strike of NHM employees of Jammu Division was held from 18th to 20th January, 2017,” Sushil said adding that BMO Bishnah had made alternative duty roster and among others one Dr. Fozia Bukhari MO NTPHC Gangyal was supposed to attend night duty at CHC Bishnah in place of Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, MO NHM on 18th January, 2017.
Sushil further said that Dr. Fozia Bukhari was absent without informing the authorities. However, instead of taking action against the absent doctor services of one Dr. Rajeev Bhagat MO (NHM) who was on strike, though known to authorities, were terminated by the BMO Dr. Des Raj for no rhyme or reason and without being heard.
Further, he said that the BMO also misbehaves with the staff and threatens on one pretext or the other.
Previously he was demoted from BMO R S Pura to MO due to his misdeeds but unfortunately he was again assigned the job of BMO for which he is not even fit, Sushil said.
He appealed to concerned authorities that the present BMO should be replaced immediately failing which the JKMEF will launch an agitation against the authorities at the helm of affairs. Others were present in the press conference included Vinod Kumar Sharma, Jarnail Choudhary, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, R.P Singh, Jugal Bakshi, Harpal Singh, Anoop Singh, Parfulat Singh, Kulyash ( Bittu), Mohd Saleem, Ved Pal Saini, Vijay Kumar Thapa, Surjeet Kumar, Sodagar Mal, Sohan Lal, Tarsem Lal, Dr. Subash, Sukhdev Raj, Paramvir Singh and Paramjeet Singh.
