‘Religion plays significant role in uniting nation’

JAMMU: It is evident from the history of our country that religion has played important role in uniting the people. This was stated by former MLA Sat Paul Lakhotra while addressing a religious congregation here at Amreshwar temple in Village Chatha Gujran. He said that religion is a source of generating bonhomie among people and communities, and is helpful in attaining national integration.
Pujari Birendra Kaith of Amreshwar Temple dwelt on the importance of Gayatri Mantra. R.L Kaith said national integration is actually a harmonious situation that binds the people of the country together. The nation is built by its people so all the people must live in unity for the development of the nation.
Chief Guest Additional Superintendent of Police, Udhampur Mohan Lal Kaith urged the people to dedicate themselves to the service of the society and help to eradicate social evils.
Sarpanch Harjeet Singh, Capt. Om Parkash, Capt. Kamal Chand, Panch Narayan Dass, Gurdas Chand, Bua Ditta, Anant Ram, Jagat Raj, Baldev Chand, Deep Raj, Darshan Lal and Mohinder Pal also addressed the gathering.
