Relief paid to flood affected land owners: Ajaz

SRINAGAR: Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Ajaz Ahmed Khan said that relief has been paid to the land owners of Nanga, Kamoore and Ramgarh areas whose land was damaged due to floods in 2013 as per the norms fixed by the Centre under SDRF guidelines.
Replying to a question by S. S. Slathia in Legislative Assembly, the minister said at present there is no proposal for payment of any relief over and above the ceiling fixed by the Centre. He said, however, the guidelines issued by the Central Government have been revised on November, 2013 wherein instead of Rs. Rs. 300 per Kanal Rs. 450 per Kanal are payable but the enhancement is payable prospectively.
