UDHAMPUR: J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum on Sunday demanded to release the pending salary of teachers working under SSA Scheme and streamline the process.
The issue came to fore in the monthly meeting of Forum held under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by the executive members of the Forum from all the 11 zones of the district.
Vinod Sharma urged the government to redress the long and genuine issues of the cadre. He said that SSA salary is pending for last two months due to which the families of the SSA teachers are passing through a tough time. He demanded the immediate release of the aforesaid salary and streamlining of the same. He also demanded the release of arrears of regularised ReTs and comprehensive transfer policy for those, who have been working in these schools for last more than 15 years. He also appealed the Director School Education Jammu to issue regularisation orders of ReTs whose files are lying in various offices since long.
Lekh Raj Parihar highlighted the issue of release of Mid Day Meals dues which are pending for last one year besides the previous liability of same. He also appealed the Chief Education Officer Udhampur to grant post facto permission in favour of Regularised ReTs whose files are lying in his office for a long time so that these teachers may not suffer any more.
Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Bhushan Khajuria, Sandeep Sharma, Anil Sharma Sushil Singh, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Vipin Sharma, Jai Parkash, Bashir Ahmed, Ashok Sharma, Vabbal Singh, Mohan Lal, Swami Raj and Beerbajan also spoke in the meeting.
