SRINAGAR: During the Zero Hour in J and K Assembly, BJP MLAs led by Ravinder Raina raised the issue of protesting PHE daily wagers and demanded immediate release of their salaries.
During the question hour, Ravinder raised the issue and all the BJP MLAs following the pursuit appealed to the Speaker for giving directions to the government to resolve the issue at the earliest.
Speaking on the issue, Raina said that more than 80 days have passed and the daily wagers especially the PHE daily wagers are on strike and government is acting as a mute spectator. He said for last more than 35 months these workers have not been given any salary thus increasing their problems manifold. He demanded immediate release of the salary of the daily wagers and asked the government to frame the policy to regularise these employees. They also criticised the previous NC-Congress Government for injustice with these daily wagers.
