JAMMU: Stressing the need for release of seven per cent DA installment due from July last, National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) urged the Finance Minister, Dr Haseeb Darbu to take immediate call for release the same in favor of State Government employees on the pattern of other states like Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat despite pending implementation of Seventh Pay Commission recommendations which though are under their active considerations by the respective state governments.
President NMC Subash Shastri pointed out that the State Government has already committed to announcement by the Finance Minister during presentation of next year State Budget to implement Seventh Pay Commission recommendations from 1st April, 2017 to the employees of the State Government and pensioners.
“By virtue of this decision, salaried class and pensioners have to wait for another one year, in the inflationary situation and there is absolute need to provide financial support in the shape of Dearness Allowance installment, so that these classes could heave a sigh of relief.” Shastri added.
