JAMMU: Reiterating its demand for early release of pending six per cent installment of Dearness Allowance (DA), National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) on Thursday urged the Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to release the said installment due from January last in favour of its employees and pensioners of the State Government well before Eid-ul-Fitr Festival.
While addressing a meeting of NMC activists here on Thursday, President NMC Subash Shastri said another installment of DA at eight per cent has also become due from 1st July, 2015 that would ultimately pile-up the arrears thus adding extra burden on State Government. “As a goodwill gesture, an early release of DA installment is need of the hour”, he added.
Pleading the cause of working class particularly the daily wagers, Shastri called for their immediate regularisation as they have high hopes from PDP and BJP led Coalition Government.
