JAMMU: A busy lane of old Rehari near Central Jail Jammu, has turned to be a trap for the pedestrians particularly for children, women and aged persons.
This drain which was badly damaged during the incessant rains causes great difficulty for the pedestrians, two wheelers and three wheelers. The dirty drain water logged under the damaged cement tiles stinks and drenches the passersby when a bike or auto crosses through. This damaged lane is likely to cause serious injury to any person any moment.
Mohalla people including Ajay Gupta, Kuldip Raj, Sunny Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Som Nath Neena Devi and Raj Rani have appealed to the Municipal Commissioner Jammu to issue suitable instructions to the concerned officers to provide immediate repair to the lane on top priority to avoid any accident and injury to the people.
