Red Cross organised medical camp in Jammu

JAMMU: To provide healthcare facilities to slum dwellers of Jammu City, Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region in collaboration with Bee Enn Charitable and Hridya Deep Ashram Jammu organised a free medical and eye checkup camp at Viraj Bal Bahawan School, Khanpur (Nagrota) here on Saturday.
During the camp, besides medical checkup of the students of Viraj Bal Bhawan, over 200 patients were examined by Dr. Kavita Nijohn, Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary, Dr. Kaushalaya Samayal Gynaecologist, Dr. Arundati Physiotherapist and Dr. Navjoot Dental Surgeon. The team of doctors was assisted by Kuldeep Bhat, senior Ophthalmic Assistant and Sohan Lal, Pharmacist. Free medicines were also provided to the poor patients besides distribution of relief material including clothes and eatables. Sita Ram Sharma, Executive Member of Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu was also present.
The camp was organised under the supervision of its Honourary Secretary R.C Puri.
