REASI: J&K State especially Reasi District is one of the most scenic places of the world which is known world over for famous Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Shiv Khori, local cultural heritage, crafts and hospitality, however, to explore its tourist potential optimally we have to cultivate and construct high end infrastructure in other parts of the district.
This was stated by MLA Reasi Ajay Nanda today, who convened a joint officers meeting at conference hall of Mini Secretariat, Reasi to review the pace of on-going development works in the district carried out by the different executing agencies. Nanda said that tourist industry is the life line and backbone of our economy and its development means overall development of State’s economy
Earlier, DC Reasi-Sushma Chauhan briefed about various ongoing projects and development schemes.
Nanda directed the officers to ensure expeditious execution of development works to extend their benefit to the people. He also asked for keeping a strict check over quality of works besides ensuring judicious use of funds as the effort should be to create sustainable assets catering area specific developmental needs.
