REASI: A six-wicket haul by Dev Karan Singh guided National Cricket Club Reasi to register 4-wicket win in the final of Reasi T20 Cricket Tournament and lifted the trophy. The tournament was organised by District Police Reasi under Civic Action Programme at sports stadium, here.
Earlier in the final played today, Star India Cricket Club Thanpal, batting first, was bowled out on 94 in 19.3 overs.
In reply, National Cricket Club Reasi chased the target for the loss of six wickets in 15.1 overs. The Man of the Match award was given to Dev Karan Singh for picking six wickets in the final match while Man of the Series award was given to Shubam of Star India Cricket Club Thanpal for taking 12 wickets and making 230 runs during the tournament. Shubam was awarded with the cash prize of Rs Rs.2,000 with trophy.
In the closing ceremony, Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Ajay Nanda was Chief Guest who gave away Rs 10,000 and Rs 6,000 trophies to winner and runner up teams respectively.
Others present were Surinder Gupta-IGP Incharge Udhampur Reasi Range, Tahir Sajad Bhat SSP Reasi, Sanjay Singh Rana Additional SP Reasi, Babu Ram ADC Reasi, Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman-Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi, Jugal Kishore Sharma Dy.SP DAR Reasi, Commandant CRPF and Tehsildar Reasi.
The prizes were also distributed among the teams of other sports activities i.e, kho-kho, discus throw, shot put, javelin throw.
