REASI: Reasi administration is going to launch a massive drive to retrieve the encroached state land in the district.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner today chaired a meeting of revenue authorities and stressed upon them to fix the timeline for removing all encroachments from state land and complete all pending Jamabandies.
The meeting was attended by ACR Abdul Sattar, SDM Katra Neelam Khajura, SDM Dharmari Naresh Kumar, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other officials.
The meeting was informed that this year five Jamabandies have been completed in Tehsil Reasi, seven in Bomag, two each in Arnas and Thakrakote, while the process is on in Tehsil Pouni, Thuroo, Chasana and Mahore. It was also informed that the Jamabandies of village Thuroo have been pending since 1968-69. The DC took a serious note and issued instructions for engaging expert officials to complete the task at an earliest.
The DC also fixed fresh targets for taking up the work of writing new Jamabandies for all left out villages and asked concerned officers to complete the same on war footing. He passed instructions to the revenue officers to personally monitor the work and furnish report to his office on regular basis.
Instructions were also passed to the officers for completing all left out mutations of inheritance besides making necessary disposal of the mutations required to be attested under section 13 and 28 (a) of Agrarian Reform Act 1976. The DC said it will further help in early digitalising of the revenue record.
The officers were further stressed for proper hand over and takeover of revenue record specifically ‘Fard Register’ in newly created tehsils and also maintain fresh record in proper way so that hassle free services are provided to the people.
It was further stressed upon officers to expedite the preparation of Adhaar cards, Kissan Credit Cards and other requisite documents required by the people for reaping the benefits of welfare schemes.
