JAMMU: RCC Srinagar and KC Sports Club won their respective matches to move into the next round of ongoing Third Christmas Twenty20 Cricket Cup at Parade Ground, here on Thursday.
Earlier, in the first match, RCC Srinagar defeated United Blues by 69 runs.
Batting first, RCC Srinagar made 171 for the loss of four wickets with Hunny (82), Satish (22) and Manik (18) being main contributors to the total. For United Blues, Habib took two wickets while Sami and Rayees shared apiece each.
Batting second, United Blues could not achieve the target and the whole side was bowled out for 102 runs in 16 overs. Habibullah (27), Rayees (23) and Abdullah (19 not out) were main scorers. Amit took four wickets, followed by Dilbag and Sonu, who claimed two wickets each. Manik and Sourav shared apiece each. Hunny was named Man of the Match.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, KC Sports Club scripted a comfortable win against Romi Singh XI.
Romi Singh XI, batting first, made 113 runs losing ten wickets in 20 overs. Deepak and Parveen contributed 26 and 16 runs respectively. Ramandeep took four wickets while Sidhant bagged two and Vivek , Noushad and Arjun Choudhary shared one wicket each. In reply, KC Sports XI achieve the target in 14.3 overs for the loss of four wickets. Sahil Lalotra remained highest scorer with 33 runs while Romi and Arjun contributed 24 and 21 runs respectively. Deepak took three wickets and Rahil Singh bagged one for Romi Singh XI. Ramandeep Singh was adjudged Man of the Match.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel including Sanju, Suhail Yusuf, Vinod and Farooq.
