Rasool expresses concern over non-inclusion of people in NFSA

SRINAGAR: Highlighting the need of controlling price hike of essential commodities, protecting consumers rights and ensuring to make availability of food grains, kerosene and sugar in the State Congress legislator from Banihal, Vikar Rasool Wani said that government needs to keep check on market rates in order to make the protection of consumer rights possible.
Rasool said that introduction of National Food Security Act (NFSA) is welcome step of the government but the need of the time is review its implementation on ground and other clauses like categorisation of enlistment in AAY, PHH and NPHH as most of the deserving beneficiaries are being neglected at Panchayat level. He further added that left out people should be enlisted.
Rasool demanded ex gratia infavour of one class four employee namely Shokat Ali Giri who died some days ago in car accident while on his way to submit NFSA corrections list.
MLA Banihal urged upon the government to take keen interest in solving the carriage commission of CAPD dealers of Banihal Constituency whose dues are pending for the last 1.5 year. However Rasool suggested the government should implement the Cabinet decision of appointing CAPD dealers as government salesmen and also demanded confirmation and regularisation of class four employees and night Chowkidars of CAPD Department. He expressed his serious concern on hike in rates of essential commodities during the month of Ramzan. He demanded that government should constitute special squads in every Tehsil headquarter of the State to keep check on rates.
