JAMMU: Seeking detention of such elements, who allegedly threatened out-state girl students of NIT Srinagar of rape, under Public Safety Act (PSA)’, BJP State Chief Spokesman Advocate Sunil Sethi on Friday said the girls from rest of the country studying in J&K were “our daughters and honourable guests of our state”.
“Their protection and welfare is responsibility of each and every citizen of the state. Strict actions should be taken against local students of NIIT in Srinagar who had dared to threaten the girls (non local students) of rape”, Sethi wrote on his Facebook wall, adding that “Such elements should be detained under PSA”.
The post adds, “Such behaviour reflects their upbringing and lack of culture and such a beastly behaviour is deplorable.”
