JAMMU: Despite speedster, Sami-ullah Beigh’s four wickets haul, Kerala managed 263 runs for the loss of four wickets, courtesy unbeaten century from wicket-keeper Sanju Samson on the opening day of the Ranji Trophy Plate group match at Bengal Cricket Academy ground, Kalyani in Kolkata.
As per the reports reaching here, middle order batsman, Sanju Samson scored an unbeaten century to help the side pile up 263 runs.
Earlier, after winning the toss J and K skipper opted to field. Sanju Samson with 129 runs was the star performer and he was well supported by Jalaj Ssaxena who scored brilliant 63 runs while Iqbal Abdullah and Munish contributed 14 runs each to the total.
Besides Sami Ullah, who bagged four for 68 in 21 overs, Ram Dayal too bowled valuable spell taking away two wickets for 59 runs in 22 overs. Another wicket was taken by Umar Nazir.
